
Gitahi Githuku, Chair
Gitahi Githuku is as a human rights defender.
Currently he is a Program Officer, Kenya, on Land, Water and Climate Justice with American Jewish World Service. His work has mainly involved grants making and movement building, especially among grassroots and marginalized indigenous peoples.
Gitahi has worked with human rights tools and mechanisms in various national and regional forums over years. He has gained overarching culminative expertise on human rights issues including access to justice, good governance, security, protection of HRDs, indigenous people’s rights, advancing basic rights and fundamental freedoms for all.
